May 10, 2010 Get a haircut and contribute to oil spill clean up

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Bishops Barbershop will be donating all hair clippings to Matter of Trust, a California-based organization that creates hairmats out of human hair and animal fur, which will be sent to the Gulf to help clean up beaches and wetlands affected by the massive oil spill.
The mission of Matter of Trust is to link ideas, spark action and materialize sustainable systems. The results are worthwhile, common sensical and often enchanting.

Come in for a haircut and do right by the environment at all Bishops Barbershop locations. We estimate sending roughly 150 lbs of hair clippings per month and will be donating until they tell us to stop.
