#1: MY MOTHER: THE BADASS RN

My Mom’s an incredible woman. I know I’m biased, since she raised me, but it’s true.
She kayaks across the Willamette river every day, gets on her bike and rides up that wicked STEEP hill to OHSU to help take care of terminal cancer patients.
She is one of the best nurses in her field and her patients adore her.
She works full time to help support my sister and I finish college, and we appreciate her hard work and support.

I love my Mom and she deserves some pampering because it’s something she wouldn’t spend money on for herself. She’s a beautiful woman, but could use a haircut, and a beer to relax while the lovely staff at bishops take care of her

Nominee #2: Angel Brown

My Mother’s name is Angel Brown. She deserves to to be pampered because she is really something amazing! She wakes up Monday-Friday at 5:00 am and works until 3:00 pm. She only makes $12.00 an hour so very little of her paycheck goes towards herself. She has five children, ranging from 3 yrs to 20, to care for and believe me she works hard! She never dresses up, she pretty much lives in p.j.’s except her work uniform. I belive this would be a great mother’s day present for her because she has low self-esteem and struggles with depression and a makeover would be just the right thing to help her out. If any mother deserves this, it would be her.

Nominee #3: India’s Mom

Hi I’d like my mom to win the contest. I think she is the best mom anyone could ever ask for. I am 11 and when I saw the ad in the paper about the contest I told her I wanted to enter her and she said no that she is just a mom and nothing special and that makes me want her to win even more. She goes out of her way to make sure me and my sister have a good life even though it means that she often has to go without things like getting her hair done. She goes to school, works, and volunteers at my school. She is always there to help us and always finds the time to make sure we know we are loved. I know that my moms life isn’t very easy. She will never say that though. I see how tired she is and I hear her sometimes cry about not having enough money. It makes me sad and I wish I could do something for her but I don’t have a job to buy her something nice for mothers day. I hope she wins because then she can have something nice and not just a homemade card on construction paper from my 4 yr old sister.

Nominee #4 Gaby’s Mom

I’m the daughter of the world’s most beautiful fantastic mother! My mother is so amazing because she cooks, cleans, and takes in all the stress from raising my two year old little brother and my bratty self alone. She works at a market and endures so much physical pain. She has arthritis and the labor at the market has made her back so much worse. But she still goes there everyday from 1pm to 10pm because she knows she has to pay the rent, bills, feed us, and make sure we’re taken care of. After having my brother in 2009 via c-section 12lb 9oz, her back also suffered. I want to lift that weight off of her and pamper her for one day. I can see it in her eyes. She has so much going on. I want her to stop for a second, and take care of herself for once. She does everything for me, and I want to for once do something for her.

Nominee #5: Tara’s Mom

I’m nominating my mom because I know there is no one else who deserves it more then her. She’s the most giving and kind person. She constantly puts other people before her. And has done an amazing job raising my sister and I.

She works at Elmonica Elementary and is a Special Ed teacher there. She NEVER misses work, even when she is sick. I really want her to take this and actually do something for herself, because she rarely does. Her students look up to her and love her so much. She treats them so well, and how much they love her is very obvious. She gets cards and thank you’s constantly.

My mom simply just doesn’t take enough time for herself, nor spends the money on herself. I want her to get a full day of pampering, because I know she deserves it. If she isn’t working, she’s cleaning or staying active.

My sister and I have both moved out of our house. And this is the first mothers day I haven’t lived at home. We want her to show her how much we still love and care about her even though we aren’t around as much to show her. PLEASE vote for my amazing Mom!!!

I'm nominating my mom not only because she's my mom but also because from the minute I was born, she's done everything she can to make my life the best! Recently she went through a very unexpected change and she's been strong the entire time! She's been working really difficult, part-time job just to pay the bills for me and her. I will never able to repay her for all everything she's done/helped me with! She's always put me first and barely has anytime for herself. She needs this so she can enjoy it because she never really does anything for herself unless she HAS to. I could never ask for a better mother EVER! Vote for my mom, she deserves it!

My mother has been through so much her entire life.. growing up with abusive parents and husband, having cancer, being a single mother with five kids, going through three divorces, having her son in prison, supporting a family by herself, but no matter how tough things have gone she has been the most incredible mother anyone could ever ask for, My mother has raised me, my brothers and sisters with not only how to live life to the highest potential but to love everyone, My mom has been through so many hardships but still loved her kids and everyone around her to the fullest, She s 51 and still raising my 8 year old brother with as much involvement in his life that she gave to all of us, I am 17 and my mother is one of the biggest joys of my life and anyone that comes to meet her, She has so much faith in everyone no mater how disgruntled someone may be, My mom has given so much love to all of us and never turned any of us away even when my brother had went to prison for drugs or when me AND my brother both came out to her and our sister didn’t talk to us for a long time because of that but my mother still loved and supported us no matter what, If anyone deserves this it’s my mother, She is supporting,loving,kind,smart, and no matter how, what, when, where, or who she will do anything she can possible to help and care for someone, All while maintaining a steady job, keeping our house clean,cooking my family meals, and helping us in anyway she can.
I don’t know what else to say about my mother but that she is a amazing woman and I love her so much she deserves to see herself how everyone that meets her sees her, as a beautiful being and i know she doesn’t very often, She deserves to feel great about herself and feel spoiled (:
